Kim (& her colleagues that Ive seen on occasion too) take care with my hair & make wonderful shades of blond incl the technical balayage techniqe. not always easy with my naturally darker brown hair. This is the only salon that my daughter genuinely liked and would want to come back to. Must have spent more than an hour there because Kim was really patient with us and answered all of our questions. On top of that, she was gentle with my daughter's hair and gave her a great style.

We live all the way in Jamaica but will definitely drive all the way to Brooklyn again for my daughter's hair cut.

This was by far this best hair cutting experience I have ever received. Kim was the best. My sons have curly hair so it's very difficult to find a salon/stylist that I can trust who knows how to cut their type of hair, and have the right products to wash and style it afterwards. My sons were both very nervous, but left so happy with the results. Then it was my turn. I got my hair cut and colored love my results. The salon has such a beautiful spa vibe and energy. Only coming here from now on and so happy to finally have this in the neighborhood.

My comments should really be called a tribute.! Roots Radicals Salon is quite an incredible discovery!!!!! Harix , proved that there are stylists who have a special connection to their craft, to their art and that they do exist. These empowered stylists are tasked with hairdressing not as a practice but more as a celebration. In other words they are really connected. My visit with Harix was not only a great personal experience but also a great learning experience. Harix showed me how to love my hair and how to keep it happy ,healthy beautiful and nurtured!!!!!

Kevin Lee is such a rad dude with some serious skills with the scissors. This go around, I had not cut my hair in 2 years and it was extremely long. I have gone to Kevin before at the previous Salon he was at and he's always been incredible, so I felt comfortable letting him do his thing. The cut is stellar, and not rushed, even though I was his last appointment of the day. Also, he has great taste in music so we always have plenty to talk about. 5/5 stars every time!
